This version contains new routines that dramatically enhance the user interface: hierarchical popup menus built from a list (with the icons), standard navigation dialogs (choose file, folder, disk), create « Metal » windows, get/receive parameters with your AppleEvents, etc.
OS X "sheet alerts", viewing PDFs, drawing pictures on the 4D icon in the dock. Controls such as the chasing arrows and the disclosures objects.
Some other routines are not specific to OS X, such as collapse/expand windows (in the Dock under POS X, ar to their title bar under OS 9), fade the screen in or out, etc.
ToolboxPack holds 100 utility routines:
- AppleEvent : allows 4D to be controlled via AppleEvent, using AppleScript
- AppleScript : Read, translate, compile and execute scripts from 4D.
- BLOBs : Blob/unblob records
- Clipboard : save and restore the clipboard
- Interface and miscellaneous : hide/show cursor, color-flash a rectangle, "choose color" standard dialog, dynamic tip, text height.
